Pressed Floral Framed Artwork, Tuesday, July 7

$79.00

In this relaxed, hands-on workshop, you’ll create a one-of-a-kind piece of framed botanical art using a curated collection of hand-pressed flowers and foliage.

We’ll start with a brief introduction to the materials and a few simple design tips — including how to work with composition, balance, and negative space to let the natural shapes of the flowers shine. Then you’ll design your own artwork, carefully arranging and gluing each delicate bloom to create a piece that feels personal and expressive.

Once your design is complete, you’ll finish your artwork in a solid oak 8x10" frame, ready to hang at home or give as a thoughtful gift.

No experience is necessary — just come ready to slow down, work with your hands, and enjoy a peaceful couple of creative hours surrounded by beautiful botanicals.

Workshops & Classes

Hands-on floral and plant classes for every skill level. Here's what to know before you book.

How do I sign up for a workshop?

Browse our workshops collection, pick the class or event you'd like, and book your spot right through the website.

Are workshops beginner-friendly?

Yes! Anything that requires previous experience or skills (almost never) will be noted in the class description.

What's included, and do I need to bring anything?

Workshops include all materials unless noted. If there's anything we'd like you to bring, it'll be called out in the class description.

Where are workshops held, and where do I check in?

Workshops are held at our shop locations—be sure to check whether you're registering for a Tacoma or Centralia workshop when booking. You'll always check in at the front counter when you arrive, unless the class listing says otherwise.

Can I bring my child to a workshop?

You know your kid best! If a class looks like something your child would enjoy, you're welcome to buy them a ticket—there's no age limit unless a class listing says otherwise. For little ones who aren't taking part, babes-in-arms (and chest carriers and car seats) are welcome at any class. We'd suggest leaving rambunctious kiddos at home, but kids who can happily entertain themselves in a chair for a couple of hours are no problem.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

No, sorry—we don't allow alcohol during our ticketed classes. If you'd like a BYOB get-together, consider booking one of our private group classes instead.

What happens if I can't make it, or need to cancel?

Email or call us and let us know. We can't offer a refund for cancellations within 48 hours of the event, but we can offer store credit. We can also swap you into a future class if there's one on our upcoming calendar with spots available you'd like to change into.

Can I book a private class or group event?

Yes—any of our current or previous workshops can be booked as a private event. Contact our workshops coordinator at workshops@thefernseed.com.

Can I give a workshop as a gift?

Yes! We have a gift card made specifically as a pass to an upcoming workshop. Shop the Fernseed Workshop Gift Card.

Is the workshop space accessible?

We want every workshop to be a comfortable experience, whatever your access needs—whether that's mobility, hearing, vision, or something else. Our Tacoma studio is wheelchair accessible, though its restroom is not yet ADA compliant. Our Centralia location is fully accessible, restroom included. For any specific accommodations, email workshops@thefernseed.com before you book and we'll make sure we can support you.
